The Sony Rialto Camera Extension System (CBK‑3610XS) is an official sensor‑block extension kit for the Sony VENICE (original 6K) that allows the image sensor/lens mount to be physically separated from the main camera body and positioned up to 5.5 m (18 ft) away with no loss of image quality.
By moving the heavy sensor block (with lens) into a compact, lightweight housing and keeping the main body on a support or in a separate location, the system makes VENICE viable for gimbals, handheld rigs, car mounts, cranes, underwater/helicopter housings, 3D/VR rigs and other tight or unconventional spaces.
Especially useful for:
• Gimbal and handheld VENICE rigs where minimizing front weight and size is critical.
• Car interiors, tight vehicle mounts and custom car rigs where the main body can’t fit in the shot or space.
• Cranes, jibs and Russian arms where the sensor head can be placed closer to the action while the body remains on the arm.
• Underwater and helicopter housings, 3D/VR rigs and other specialized enclosures that can only accommodate the small sensor block.
